Default HELP need info on Cosworth WRC Zetec piston YC1330

I'm new to this part of the forum so I'm not sure where this post would go, mods please move this post if need be.

I have an set of Cosworth WRC Zetec piston and I was told the compression is 8.5.1 is this true?

Will these piston fit into an WRC CGI block?

If so then where can I find the WRC Zetec rods and crank shaft from????
If not then I need to sell these

Unless someone with real knowledge of the Cosworth Zetec WRC program comes along, to provide answers requires far more information.

Dimensions in mm to 2 dp.
1) Skirt diameter
2) Pin diameter
3) Compression height
4) Crown volume.

AFAIK Cosworth made rods, pistons, blocks, etc for 'retail' sale as well as significantly different ones for the main Ford competition engines. Sale of these ceased several years ago with stocks sold off in batches to 2 or 3 locations.

If these pistons need to be matched to rods which differ to the 4 standard length/pin diameter ones easily obtainable........using them is going to be very expensive.

I had the cosworth WRC pistons in my Focus RS along with Coswoth WRC conrods and these were in a Zetec WRC CGI block so should fit without any problems, i cant remember the compression ratio off the top of my head,
Im now running with some Custom Wiseco pistons as i went for an overbore to 86mm,

hope this helps

So, what are the dimensions of the Cosworth WRC rods, pin diameter and length. Are they the same as the FRS ones which which were exclusive to that engine.

The other sizes are:

European Silvertop
European Blacktop
US Blacktop (inc SVT/ST170)

So part numbers aren't really much use as they dried up as a retail supply earlier than pistons and CGI blocks.

If, as I asked, you let me know the pin diameter and compression height, I can confirm if any 'off the shelf' aftermarket rods will fit, or if , as with the road FRS rods, its a unique rod which would have to be custom made.

This of course is assuming you've failed in advertising for original Cosworth WRC rods in all the usual places.
