ive currently got a VW t4 transporter LWB as my daily driver/ tow vehicle/ general workhorse/ camper, its got a set of 16 inch audi a4 wheels fitted (were on when i bought it).
i never checked the tyre pressures for the first 4 months of owning it, so not sure what they had to start with.
standard tyres are 195/70R15, and mine are 205/60R16s (i think)
when i finally checked them i had 30-35 in the fronts, and 35 to 40 in the rears, standard, the plate by the drivers door says 50+ all round, can't be arsed to check the exact figure
so i put 40 in the fronts and 45 in the rears, accelleration is far better, and the van feels much lively, but im not convinced. dont want to end up needing a new set of tyres in a few months coz ive been running too much/little pressure or risking a blowout.
What would you recommend?
