hi people, i fitted a second hand turbo 2day as mine is in need of a rebuild anyway got it all plumbed in and left it ticking over for a good 10mins. Then went for test drive and there no boost at all iv checked for leaks and nuffin anyone got any ideas.

Problem with actuator, bleed valve (if fitted), amal valve or the turbo is shagged. My bets anyway.

 

it dont have a bleed valve and it boosted fine with old turbo think im going to re fit old 1 and see what happens.

 

but how could i check to see if its the actuator

 

is the actuator rod actually connected.if its not it will drive with not one bit of boost at all

 

yeah its all connected up its just puzzling cause there no play in the turbo all pipes are connected just no boost not even any attempt or smoke

 

is it the same actuator that u took off the other turbo? or a different one

 

same one there is no play in the turbo but could it still be blown

 

I spose it could be seized?! Have you spun it round by hand?
