2.5 inch exhaust okay for stage 3?

Car is booked in for new 2.5 inch exhaust back box on my 3 inch scorpion to quieten in down. Will this be too restrictive when I go stage 3?

Seen a few around 350 on 2.5" didn't seem to be a problem.

longlife exhausts in bristol say they use 2.5 pipe on 500bhp applications.....

That's great as getting longlife in carshalton to fit a much larger backbox with 2.5 inch pipe.
