Default problem with rear lights on ERST

im having problems with my rs turbo,

Right,

My rear main lights work, but when i put the brake on the drivers side brake light works but the passenger side dont, it also when the drives brake light is on the passenger side light goes off, thats the main light for the rear so the drivers side is fine but the passanger side goes off and wont play games!

aye mate give it a clean i personally have run the earth straight off the back of the light to my own earth spot straight onto the backpanel as i was having my indicators come on when braking as well as my side lights going off when braking!!! i would also recomend getting new rear light seals off ebay for 18quid, these stopped my car misting up on damp mornings!!

hi there,

I have cleaned the prongs, and no joy...

What i have done so far is : Removed both of the rear light units which all the bulbs go into and swoped them around to check the wire'ing, Well now it does it the other way round such as

The drivers side dont work and the passanger does, which it was the other way around... how am i to clean it? i used wet and dry on the prongs for the connector so its not the connector thats my problem since it does it on the otherside when changed around.

Any ideas? get a new rear light fixing?

it's not the car wiring then it's the light clusters that are at fault, have a look at were the bulbs push in and make sure there all clean and at worst just buy to nice new ones
