I have just been cleaning a couple of bits under the bonnet and i have noticed that my dump valve seems to be spitting oil everwhere. I have found that where the gearbox joins onto the engine there is some oil sat in that area. Would this come from the dump valve or could this be a seperate issue.

Any help would be much appriciated

 

its not uncommon for the dump valve to spit a bit of oil on an older engine imo try poping off one of your turbo hoses off and see if there is any sines of oil contamination same gose with the intercooler. it mite be a sine that your turbo is on its way out

 

thanks i will have a look and see. I suppose it will be time for a stage 3 T3 if that is the case lol

 

Hey mate, i had this issue on my rs turbo. Dump valve spitting oil, boost hose full of the stuff, had my turbo looked at and this was the problem. It was passen oil like no tomorrow

But bought myself a brand new stage 2 hybird Ł595 from turbo technics

 

What if you see oil leaking out of the oil cap what would that mean?
