Default Headlight problem

I have one headlight working just fine and the other one has ceased working altogether I get nothing coming on at all, I had a quick look at the connecting plug at the back of the main unit and cleaned all of the connections up on that as they were filthy, but still nothing.

What else do I need to check??

If some could just give me a simple list of things to go through so maybe I can work out whats going on with it.

If no light at all, look at the earth first, usually a bolt near the rear of the headlight holding down several earth wires(brown).

also check your getting 12v+ at the terminal of the light plug,
if not that then u need to lift the fusebox out and check the wiring to the relay and from the relay for the headlight,, obviously check fuses. I had to rewire from the relay back to the light as my nearside stopped working.
