rs turbo taps a lot
i have an s2 rst on a f reg, its done 67k now, ive had it a couple of months, and i notice it taps quite a lot, when driving and on idle etc. it was stored for quite a while.
anything simple i should check first of all? or itll probably be getting a full rebuild.

is it worth getting a standard cam or is it worth splashing out the extra and getting a kent/piper kit?
If you're looking at doing a re-build, I would look at getting a 2nd head and re-building that, then just replacing the head on the engine. They are just a tappy engine.
If it was stored for quite a while it could be the cam followers are a bit stiff with old oil. I've removed mine before and squeezed them out with a vice, not the ideal solution freed them up from being completly solid.

Depends on your target BHP and how you want the car to drive mate, standard cam is a good all round cam and is what I prefer, either that or a Kent CVH34, Piper 285T, or a mild Newmans.
