Can anyone recommend a really powerfull torch/spotlight...
Have no power in my garage so wanted something that would light the whole thing up so i can work on the car in there.Can anyone suggest a rechargeable torch or similar thats really bright?

youd need several lights to fill the shaddows.
I cheat and use those AA battery powered dome lamps from tesco/asda/homebase. A couple of them will light up plenty and you can take one under the car.

Dependant on Budget ... Dewalt 18v lantern is a winner all day .. I wouldnt leave home without it ..

Ive got a mental one, will only last for about 15-20 mins tho between charges, but u can feel the hear from one side of a room to another!
Bit bright as well

couple of old 12v bulbs on the ceiling, rig them up to a big battery off a diesel van or something, should last a fair few hours between charges!

you want leds, they use far less power so any battery will last longer.
generators are pretty quiet if you get a good one

B&M Homebargains up here had them 1,000,000 candle powered things in for a fiver the other day. Im gonna go buy one tomorrow
