Roughly how much these days would it cost on a 206 to have a new wing fitted, a crease on the edge of a bonnet repaired, then both painted plus obviously the wing would prob need blending into the door.

Been at mclaren 4yrs now so out of touch on what it cost to get thing done these days in a workshop, think we charge about 20-30k for a full respray

I must be too cheap. Ł100 per panel to paint, Ł120 roof or bonnet. Plus materials. The repair-hard to price without seeing it-say Ł75. So roughly about Ł400/500 john.n

I dont know where you get your work done-must be dog rough, (probably doing it on the side), if they can remove/fit a wing, repair a bonnet, and paint 3 panels for Ł200/250. Decent paint is Ł50 a litre, then laquer,hardener,thinners etc-it could be Ł150 in materials? john.n

 

Id charge roughly Ł350 all in, might be a little more, hard to tell with out looking at it.

i know a chap in southampton who would repair that to a very good standard for Ł300 thats all materials including the wing supplied.

Was thinkin about 4-500 was about right top end of the scale, isnt for me its for someone else they've been quoted about 700 odd which seemed abit odd to me so going to sort out why its that much tomorrow for them!!


Really wish i had somewhere to do private work, the gf has had loads of ppl at her college wanting work i could be making shit loads on the side

 

if it has been hit hard enough to bend the bonnet id say there may be more unseen damage ie headlight fixings ,headlight trim,inner shit sheild...is it down for geo check? is she having a loan car?
it is impossable to quote without seeing it ,sure there are always people who will do a cheap job but will it be done properly i think not!!!!

 

if it was me to do it 250euro and if your not happen with it then dont pay

average price in oldham area is Ł100 to Ł150 per panel for paint, cost of wing varies, we have 2 spurious panel makers in oldham area, labour rate varies for Ł17 to Ł75 per hour labour but people are buying work so you might get a bargain at moment. would cost approximately Ł250 if i was to get it done. As for working at maclaren mercedes i was down there doing some lifting gear inspection work last week so i can understand why they would charge that for a paint job as what i saw on site was spectacular

 

Sorry forgot to say what happened lol, wasnt hit at the front basically where she works they have big industrial fridges and the wind blew one over which hit the wing and slightly creased the bonnet, so its nothing major really and no underlying damage other than whats been said!!!

Yea the site is pretty impressive eh gaz?! be interesting to see what the new plant is gonna be like and where when its all approved for the P11 project!!!

Guess when people are spending 350k on a car 20k on a paintjob is peanuts really lol, you'd be surprised how many have had colour changes too over the years!!
