Default Nokia Bluetooth kit to Nokia phone - connection prob

Can anyone help or throw some light on this prob?

I have a Nokia N95 and a Nokia in ear hands free thingy.
I have used both items to connect to other Bluetooth items no probs.

But try as hard as I can I can not get them to connect to each other. The phone finds various Bluetooth items near by (my brother's car kit, my Tom Tom etc) but can not find the in ear handsfree kit.

My old Sony Eriscson phone connects to it fine, the Nokia doesn't?

Anyone got any suggestions? It's doing my head in.

Si

Yep, I've tried doing it away from any Bluetooth stuff, so the only thing it should find is the In Ear thingy, but it doesn't

Short of putting the two together and stamping on them both, I can't work out why it won't "see" the other one.

The In Ear thing is turned on, the phone bluetooth is on, yet they won't talk.

Thing most frustrating as they are both Nokias, around a year or so old max. Can't get why they'll both Bluetooth with other items but not themselves.

Might head off to Tesco and buy a real cheap crappy In Ear device and see if that will connect to the N95.

Thanks Nick, your idea is the type of thing I need

What bluetooth headset is it? Some have to be put into pairing mode to be able to connect for the first time. Try switching the headset off then when switching on hold the power button until the power indicator flashes then try searching for the headset on the phone. If found and it asks for a access code it is usually 0000.

Done as you suggest, no joy either.

Not sure what one it is, cheap (£35) thing from Tesco, a Nokia one. Not sure of model no, it doesn't say.

Tried to look for a pic of one but can't find any, loads of Nokia types available, mine was the cheapest one Tesco sold.

Fooks sake, so bloody annoying
