Default What year did Mondeos start having PATS?

hi all, looking for the best donor engine for my escort 2.0 zetec conversion and been told the best one is the early silver top zetec without PATS, the red thing on the key. so.. when did mondeos start having PATS? and how much harder is it to wire in a later 2.0 zetec.

94. any 2ltr sivertop will do, as long as frontmount. you want a non pats escort zetec loom and a mondeo ecu beginning with DE, so DEEP, DEWY, DESK. These are in 1993 - early 1994 mondeos, normally k plate ones.
