evening stu, just want to point this out to you !

i received a pm from "rs specialist" this morning saying i have received a infraction.

the reason why i was given an infraction was that i set up a thread asking about rs500/roose style splitters for saph's ! it spiraled into alot of people being interested in a carbon one and i said i will speek with a popular/good carbon company (phil at carbon delight) and see if he will do a deal on a group buy.

i said i would look into it and hopefully get one going !

id like to add, there would have been NOTHING at all in it for me, i am doing it for the board users only, i dont mind giving up some of my time in the evenings to sort it out as i only sit on here anyway.

rs specialist found this hard to beleive

he also said i was getting my "friend" business, well, i have never in my life, spoke with, met, or dealt with phil.

he is a well known carbon company who i thought would do the best job for the guys and their splitters !

i know i am part of scs and i obviously need to be careful what i post about as i can look like im doing it for the interest of the company when i am really doing it to help others out,

i am complaining as i am now on my last warning, any more and i get a permanent ban, which i really do not want.

now you know my side of the story is it still worthy of an infraction ?

im not trying to get it removed im just trying to show you that i have no intentions of making money from this forum im just honestly trying to help others out

if i am still in the wrong then i appologise and will not bother to argue
please would you clarify this for me ?

also, if i ever need to be told anything by any moderators in the future would you please ask any moderator other than rs specialist to contact me as i feel it would be better if we didnt have contact on the board, in my interests mainly as he has told me if i insult him any more i will be gone, as i said i really dont want this !

you may think im being childish but i just dont want to lose out on learning and giving input on this forum,

Sadly loads of people hide behind calling things "group buys" just to try and sell a load of stuff for profit, so I can see why the rule is there.

Same though when its someone genuine like you that gets covered by the same rules though mate.

yes then everyone will say theyre genuine blah blah, but i would just set it up then the carbon company and costomers would talk the money nothing to do with me, i just want to get the ball rolling !

Jim you are right, forums’ are there to gather information, share ideas, and help people out. But when it comes to the later and money is involved you have to apply to Stu for trader status even if you are trying to help members of the site,i have tried to put my point across but it has fell on deaf ears.

As per the site rules and what some others have told you, group Buys on this forum are reserved for traders as historically they are proven to cause nothing but problems when they don't go as planned and people start blaming the forum and its admin for things going wrong. The opening poster always says he will foot the bill if things go wrong, right up until the point it does indeed go wrong, then they don't want to know and its down to me to deal with hours of trouble and angry members.

Secondly,
PassionFord's registered traders pay good money to use this site in a commercial manner and it would be unfair of us to allow a non registered trader to sell a large volume of items to our community when they haven't paid for the privilege of doing so. If you wish to arrange group buys, please feel free to do so but please use our registered traders to do so or maybe even ask the supplier you have in mind if he would like to join us. With the prospect of a bulk sale lined up immediately upon joining why wouldn't he?.

the reason i complained is i am now on my last warning and as above i dont want to get banned permanently, i thought it would be ok for me to do this as i wasnt gaining from it but this is not the case.

just one question, would i be allowed to set up a group bu with xsport for example ? as theyre paided up ?

or do i have to be a paided trader ?

Hi Jim,
I will look into the infraction record and see what that sides about separately, but yes, please feel free to use XSport for your group buy mate as long as they pop on the topic very early on and clarify what they intend to happen so that everyone knows they are not buying from you, but from XSport.

also ive been talking with xsport about splitters, and would just like to clarify it is ok to start a group buy thread in general discussion ?
