ok folks im looking for a competitive quote for insurance on my XR3i as it'll be back from the bodyshop after being restored back to standard and an engine rebuild and resto on that too.


im 21 year old male with 2 years driving experiance although 1 NCB due to changing a couple cars in first year and then having my capri on a classic policy for just over a year now.

will be wanting my girlfriend (aged 27) on the policy as a named driver also, shes been driving for 3 years but also 3 years NCB on a classic motor she had since beginning driving.

car in question is a 1989 Escort XR3i mk4, 78k genuine milage diamond white.

will be looking at a fixed milage policy as i wil be covering at most 4-5000 a year with the car, weekend and show use only (SPD only)

use a company van for work as im a valeter during the day and part time mechanic and bodyshop repairman at night.

best quote so far ive had is £503.87 from Swinton, so if anyone fancies giving me a better price then let me know what you can do, will give details via PM to any interested insurance parties on here
