Anyone been to The Ivy?
Ive just booked a table for me n the missus when we go to London in a few weeks. Whats it like? And whats the dress code? Im imagining ill need me suit
I doubt you need a suit, but would imagine it is shirt and tie always check there website l am sure it will make a mention of attire on there or always call, l went to Midsummer House which is a Michelin 2 star and never wore a jacket and felt really under dressed.
Let me know what the food is like as l am thinking of going to Les Maison Quat ses Son or what what ever it is called.
Here you are, no ties required

It's a cracking city mate, there really is so much to see and do there , the new shopping center called White City is meant to be very good, Covent Garden is cool so much.
Enjoy

Im only down for 3 days really and the first day will be spent arriving at the airport, getting dinner then goin to see Britney. Then ill have to cram a lot into the 2nd day cos the 3rd day we leave at lunchtime again.
On the 2nd day we are going to madame tussauds early then oxford st then Harrods then somewhere else then The Ivy for dinner.
Ill really need to come back down another time when were not seeing Britney bloody Spears so i can see London better!

Went to the Ivy a couple of years back, not a bad restaurant but I reckon its over rated slightly. I had a steak in there in some kind of random sauce, tasted the absolute nuts but it was very small (as you'd expect) and was about £36 for the steak alone (had to buy potatoes / veg on top). Total cost of the meal for 2 of us and a fair few drinks came to about £160 i think. Location is ok but it could do with a refurb on the outside!! Dress code is just smart casual, i went in smart non ripped jeans and a top. Pretty laid back atmosphere in there and always interesting to keep an eye out for famous people. I see Duncan from Blue (is he famous now?!!), Chris Martin from Coldplay with some old bird (his mum i think!) and some bird from a soap which I'd never heard of!!
