Default The best way to tighten the rear end under braking?

hello all

having problems recently with excessive lift off oversteer even on really shallow bends

i have a 89 rwd saff with koni sport adjustables, 215/40/17 pirellis and front strut brace, front bushes are poly the rest are std

i was approaching as set of lights last night in fairly dry grippy conditions.
there was a slight bend in the road nothing major, and i was travelling uphill. i applied early gentle braking from about 50mph and dropped to third, next thing i know im sliding at 90 degrees towards a barrier which houses a rather deep canal. luckily due to owning the car for over a year i had the experience to pull it back.
the thing that really worries me is that ive taken that same situation a hundred times and there was no reason for the car to snap.
ive investigated the car myself and it passed a rather strict mot last week with no faults watsoever

any ideas on faults or settings?

thanks

darren

get the tracking on the rear checked, get the bushes all re-checked, check to see if anything is bent or misaligned.....speak to rainbird and get his rear shim kit

wats the best settings for the koni adj?
as i think they are set on soft all round, that maybe contributing to the lift-off oversteer?
