I'm looking into purchasing an after market rev limiter (omex) but do i need a single or twin coil item ?? - i know FRST 's run twin and i'm running wasted spark coil pack kit so is it the same??
Yes twin coil, single coil one will only be able to cut one coil, so you must get one for twin coil so it can cut both sides of the coilpack.
The centre of the coilpack plug is live, terminal either side is the negative for the cylinders 1+4 plus 2+3 respectively.

recently fitted one of these to my saph as the chip i had had a raised limit, to be honest bit dissapointed with the omex single coil one, works fine but when you hit the limit it sounds like a wet fart rather than a nice loud bang. Out of intrest what should i be limiting it at have it set to 6500

Depends really, if on std cams little point going past about 6500/6600 as power starts to drop off about there.
Think I would rais eit a bit to around 6800 so you get to fully use up to that point.
Yours may not have a loud bang if it is a soft cut one, on my ecu I set my soft cut at4000, and my hard cut at 4500, on one of my maps, great for flames pops bangs etc seriously loud, but found it kills the plugs, using IK27's it's too costly!!
