Default 3 door cos speakers/sound system

Can anyone give me some ideas on how to fit a decent sounding system in the 3 door without cutting door cards/shelfs . Ive replaced the back 4inch speakers with 4inch mtx's and it still sounds pants. ive got some 6 inch jbl comps sitting here but i just cant cut the car about...... so

What you got in your 3 door /saff. any help here would be great

Oh and im not to worried about having subs tbh

I have MB QUART QM 150KNS on the rear shelf of the cossie, ace speakers but around Ł150 pair.
I think Kenwood do direct replacements as do others, but would be worth listening to first if you can, depends on what type of music as well.

I have a set of components in custom made pods that replace the kick well panels. Sound really good and brings a bit of sound up to the front of the car.

The standard speakers are fitted on the lower dash behind the grills. and they are free to air,, hence the front speakers sound absolute gash. U can either make a small enclosure to house them,, or play with some pods either somewhere in the dash or by the kick panels. I know you dont want to cut the door cards up, But sierras sound brilliant when using 6.5'' up front. As for back you cant expect the 4 inchs to work well as once again they are free to air, unlike the saph which has a solid sealed section.
So I'd make a parcel shelf out of mdf cover it in fabric and put some 6x9's or 8''s onto it., That way you dont butcher the original parcel shelf.

Sapph rear speakers vent into the whole boot area same as 3 door, though this will increase bass it won't be awfully good due to size.

Could you take some pics of these please? i did think about this but wondered if they would be to close to the pedals etc etc

Im not going to cut the door cards on the car as there in very good condition , it will be pods in the footwells i think

Whilst yes ur right,, 3dr rear speakers are like capri rear speakers,, crappy plastic side mouldings with, the sapph altho similar works better as it has a proper baffle,

I have custom made pods in the front footwells and yes they deffo are close to the pedals... you get used to it but its not ideal!!

all you need it mids and tweets in the front and a 12" sub in the boot.

a decent amp and head unit and you will be sorted!!
