Talking £500 to spend on Brakes...

I have £500 to spend on a brake upgrade on my sierra Saffy cosworth.

Any suggestions?

The only requirements are that I don't have to faff around making brackets etc and I don't like Focus RS brakes...

Any help apreciated!

Si

I've got a set of 996 turbo front calipers here - i'm sure Reyland could knock up some mounting brackets and advise on discs!

Wait till you have enough for a Compbrake kit, full 335mm kit will come in under a grand.

Don't forget that you can gain a large performance improvement from using a very good pad material from a company like Pagid or Ferodo. A very good set of pads will be nearly £300. If you are after looks then obviously that won't help.

evo 8 callipers, i paid £300 for front and rears (already had usable pads in them)
focus rs discs, paid around £100 for them
braided brake lines, will cost about £50 max
brackets will cost you around £50, but VERY easy to make as all holes are in line

you need to mod the calliper a bit with a grinder, but nothing that will affect them
