Default Misfire on Focus RS

Hi

Just wondering if any of you had the same thing occuring.

Between 4-6000RPM in 3rd, 4th and 5th gear I get an intimitant pop or what I thought was a misfire, which became more apparent when I fitted a full Mongoose Decat with Bluefin (Decat Setting).

Has anyone had this happen or is it just the gas popping through the system.

Any pointers would be great as its just been to my local Ford garage who couldn't find anything wrong with it, and who also didn't want to know because it is "tuned".

Many thanks.

Jamie,
A lot of the FRS have reported this type of problem It could have spmething to do with the ECU map if you have got the "AE or the AF map on the ECU. as for your Dealer he will not want to work on the car because of the Bluefin more than the De-cat. The Jury is still out on the Bluefin as some have said that this will have a adverse affect on the Car Long term. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the reply.

I didn't have the Bluefin on the car when I took it in, and they knew nothing of it to be honest, it was the decat which turned him off it.

I wonder why he didn't simply have a look at the standard map for me?
