Been @ Donington track day today and meet some fine people.

My first thankyou is to Steve Scott and the lads from A1 Rally Sport.

Was took out for some laps round Donington in his Escort Cosworth WRC what a car 430 ish BHP and what a driver was never scarred for one second.

All time dream come true been out in a really fast cossie and what a cossie to go out in for your first one well worth waiting for.

Sideway round every corner powersliding, braking hard i loved it and the launch in second from the pits was unreal THANKYOU Steve you are a Gent, the over two say thanks too.

Nice to meet some more Pf peeps Gav Dimmond and Marco top gents nice to meet you both.

To sum it up one of those days you will never forget

Cheer paul was going really well BUT

about 11.00 the rear prop broke where it goes onto the diff and i thought that was game over OH NO NO NO NO him and marco went back to base and got another was back about 1.30 fixed it and straight out on track.

The sad bit of the day was when he was on the last run of the day with my mate in the car he was coming down the pit striaght and the Turbo(i think) let go was a shame and i was gutted for him but he(Steve) was smiling like all day when he was towed back in to the pits.

 

It'll all be fixed for Brunters on Tuesday

Paul it was fixed from Bedford yes mate, think it had sheared the diff bolts.

Also it had some brand new prop shafts fitted yesterday and after only six laps it broke the rear knuckle on it.

Then after about 2 1/2 hours of non stop taking passengers out the turbo let go.

Was a good day other than the problems and i got a passenger ride again love that car.

 

Went this mornin and seen the a1 car do a couple of laps, absolutely love that car. But then it broke as mentioned above so buggered off as there werent much else there to shout about. Wish I'd stopped for a bit now.

There was a bloke in a white 205 who was really throwin it into the corner on the pit straight. fair play he was well entertainin to watch.

 

So thats why the turbo broke, you was in the passenger seat Gav

I wasn't in it the time the turbo went, also i heard JC had some problems again with me not in the car

I will go Tuesday if Steve is going, as i cant just show up as i think Ben won't like it, he should be OK if i leave the car by security though.

 

You can always trust the rally boys to put on a show Its in the blood

 

I popped up today for about an hour as there wasnt much going on

 

Who needs the Ford Rallyesport Teams when we've got top tyre technician Marco getting his hands dirty and setting the tyre pressures on Steve Scott's WRC Escort!!!

 

Thats wicked quality for a phone picture.

 

Marco's Nike Air Shoxs have lasted FUCKING YEARS

Had a great day the track was really greasy so loads of drifting all went well until the very last lap when the turbo decided to let go,but it was well worth it.

popped up today too, saw tiff and his mate Saw said cossie up on axle stands in a garage, still managed to look as hard as nails, especially with that big exhaust out the back!!

 

I'd LOVE to go in the A1 WRC Escort.

I was gonna ask Steve if he would take me out for a few laps but was too shy LOL.
