Think you'll need aftermarket if you're changing the injectors.

Well van aaken used the standard ECU when doing their turbo kits. But that was very low boost.

Can't see the point myself, but each to thier own, I would ask stu at MSD, he's sure to know, or at least have a very good idea about the ecu.

if its costing you alot would you not be better off going down the n/a route? companys such as shawspeed have been getting some very good results for the 1.6's. are you a member on zsoc.com?

you wont get 10 psi on a Zetec SE without major work

And you wont need a fifth injector as its not an MFi system

You need to research into this engine a bit more

As Marcus has said, Shawspeed get great gains with a set of Cams, SS4's are well suited to the standard inlet, and with a full exhaust and a good remap, you can see around 145bhp

If you want to stay EECV, get yourself an FRS PCM and sensors, then have it remapped using e.g. SCT/Dreamscience (Jamie @ Jamsport is supposed to be good with this). Staying EEC means you can keep factory clocks, security, tcs (if the zs has it??) etc.

The other option is keep the standard PCM for driving the clocks etc, and run injection/ignition/boost control from an aftermarket ECU. For your purposes anything from a Megasquirt to Emerald/Omex/DTA would make most sense, IMHO. Anything more would be overkill.
