Although this is non-Ford I thought you people schould see it because I'm really impressed. It's a short clip from tests before a rally that is here in Poland kind of out version of Champions Race. The driver in the clip is Robert Kubica - Formula 3 driver. It's his first time on the track in closed car, first time in 4x4 car, first time in an Evo and first time in rally car at the same time.... I must say WOW. He actually finished the rally in 4th place and this was half gravel, half slippery surfaces. It took me so much time to learn 4wd and he just has fun wth it from the first corner. Hope you like it.

It's fookin' incredible how guy who normally only drives some coffin with big wheels drives thi Evo. The car itself is old group N EVO VI.

By the way - after this testing he said the car does not accelerate, brake or turn and he hopes that on stages it would be more interesting then on track

During rally he drove very precisly, keeping to racing line. Not very rally style but 4rth - and all major motorsports drivers in this cou9ntry were there s it's a LOT of sucess. Anyway he drove with ALS switched off - cause they forbid him to use it on the first outing with rallycar..... I'm fookin impressed.

Were the other drivers allowed ALS during the same event ??

Yep sure everybody had ALS. This very funny rally. As it's all champions form different motorsports and they are allowd to run their disciplne cars. So there was Group H Evo that goes hill-clibing, a few Disision 1 and 1A rallycross monsters and in the past there were even some circut racing Alfa-Romeos. As guest there was Group-A Delta. And of course everybody runing ALS. Kubica was told not to use it by his team Lots of fun indeed, on recce he used Smart Roadster

I wonder if Schumacher and likes would be fast on stages. I know Aerton Senna was fast in Sierra Cossie

 

The only big problem with RHD I think is that it's very unnatural to switch gears with left hand and having to pull from you when switching form 1st into 2nd. Seams really strange to me. Other things or not rally that scary - can get used to in few km. Still I would like to find out - maybe somebody from PF will let me do some laps in his toy?

 

By the way - some body writeen here on PF recently that 4x4 is gay and boring and is not sideways - this video is good recomendation for this kind of people....

Smart Roadster is a car in my opinion

 

It's on very very tight budget andthere aren't too many drivers with proper cars but there is LOTS and LOTS of talented people with lots of skill, cojonez, crazy enough to go crazy on public rods as we got TWO racing circuts... Is only tabbaco and alcohol products couldbe advertised on rallycars it would be massive but as is there are no sponsors willing to pay so much money :-( I know 'couse I try to organizse money for some drivers and it's nearly impossible. Some really fast peopel are just sitting at home and driving around Kadett 1.8 automatic...

Still could be fun? But well you just drop into it and drive it, it's only like .....teen hours drive


If only it had engine...... and normal price :-(
