Default Exhaust options

Im getting a side exit exhaust made for my car, the problem is deciding on a tail pipe.
I had decided on a 11" wide by 3" high pipe but now Im unsure, really after other peoples opinions on this as I dont want to do it and turn "Chavtastic" overnight

cant it just be a "pipe"... with the greatest respect, does it have to look like a rather large letterbox ... no rolled edge though, not on a side exit IMO

I reckon it shoul come out at an angle, say like 45 degrees to body, but be cut parrallel to side of car so it will look slightly oval from a side view if you know what I men lol.... as above, Im not sure if 3 inch would be too big still... for the theme of a car such as yours, old skool... maybe 2.5 inch... but till you gaffer tape a bit of pipe in place.. it'll be difficult to say really??

i might have to have my exhaust like this for a while, just 2.5" inch stainless pipe maybe squashed to an oval shape so it doesn't scrape too much..

should do it tomorrow so i can post a pic when it's done if you like? no rolled edge.

Pic would be great

2.5 Inch it is then, 45 degree angle cut so it has a straight edge to the car

Anymore suggestions

don't go with me, 2.5" is all i have lol, so it'll have to do, and yup cut at an angle so it's flush up the side sort of thing.

i'll post a pic of my install tomorrow with a pic of the exhaust for you. I'm sure some people on here have side exits, probably out getting pi**ed jsut now though

exhausts have to evit from the o/s of the car due to pedestrian safety!

side exit pipes can be very very loud, i did away with mine due to excessive noise (and it sounded shyte!!!! )
pics can be seen on this link somewhere.......

some pix of side exit pipe and some of my fabricated 3.5in stainless pipe.
