Default rear driveshaft cv joints 4x4 saph

took mine apart as i want to clean them out and repack with new grease, but i noticed that the old grease which is the original ford stuff seems to be a heavy type grease with an almost slight aroma of diff oil off it.and no the diff isnt leaking
its not your usual cv joint stuff just wondering does anyone know what this grease is or is it different from normal cv joint stuff
