I remember someone posting about there battery light being on dim all the time,even after changing the wiring, alternator and battery,
I've had the same problem on a few cars in the past and not bothered about it!
on my current car the batt light has been on dimly, but come on bright sometimes, after trying a few alternators, and changing the wiring, the fookin thing still done it!!
I've found it to be the FAT red wire in the plug between the barrel and wiring loom, it had melted!!after repair, the light aint come on since

I had this happen and then it stopped and hasnt come back, but i think i'll take a peek anyway!
You mean the ignition barrel yeah? Did you find out why the wire had melted??

gonna go check mine now lol! its been doing my head in as only comes on dim if i use me heated screens then put my foot on the brake. i hope ur gonna be a legend for me lol!

 

Yeah mine gets brighter if i press the brake too!

 

Mine is always on until I rev the engine above 5k!? Thign is even when it is on the battery is actually charging still, how random.

 

could be over charging tho lee
the wire was ok,it was in the block on the loom side u could see the pin was very hot and melted!

 

Damn you just can't win with these things over charging, under charging
I'll have to take another look now...
