ok ive been looking over my go-tech ecu and i was finding it realy hard to set a stedy idal i then descovered that cilinders 2 and 3 were not sparking so i changed the coil pack leads and for the sake of it the plugs problem still there i remover the plug from the coil pack pin number 2 is an ignition live as i expected and pin number 1 and 3 switch as they should yet still no spark the only thing i can bring it down to is the charging time of the coil pack maby?? when reved slightly the spark comes back but on idal it goes away
any idears what i should set the charge time on the coil to?
Are the plug gaps all the same? I highly doubt its anything to do with the coil pack charging time tbh mate, they work through wasted spark on cylinders 1&3, 2&4 so if cylinder 1 is getting a spark from the coil pack technically cylinder 3 should be as well. Unless the coil packs shagged. 3.75ms is a bit too long IMO
No, 1 and 4 fire at the same time, and then 2 and 3. Check the continuity of the switching wire for cyl's 2 and 3, and if that's ok, it's the coil pack.

I have also found out that Ford coils work best at around 2.6ms and regually come across faulty coil packs.
ill have to set it to that then and give it ago the coil pack i have tryed came off a running zetec fiesta that i drove to work this morning hows you bottom end btw
Look on the front of the Gotech on see that the 2 green lights flash on and off. If only one light flashes it means that one phase of the ignition is not discharging, then remove and dry the spark plugs. Try again watch the bgreen lights.
