Park near the door in Supermarkets, nearly always guaranteed a space.

Also Where the Blue Badge Scheme applies:
  • you are allowed to park at on-street parking meters and pay-and-displays free of charge (unless there is a local traffic order in force specifying a time limit)
  • you may be exempted from parking time limits imposed on other road users
  • in England and Wales, you may usually park on double or single yellow lines for up to three hours
  • there is no time limit on parking in Scotland unless there is a ban on loading and unloading
  • you will need to display the special blue parking disk displaying the time of arrival in addition to the Blue Badge. If you run up your time limit, you cannot renew it immediately on the same road or part of a road, but must allow an interval of at least one hour.
  • The badges can be used while travelling abroad within the European Union (EU) and in some other European countries. The Blue Badge scheme does not apply to off-street car parks, private roads or at most airports.

why dont they add registrations to blue badge then?? Problem solved! Make the box big enough for a few numbers and then you can cover the close family of disabled people who dont have thier own car.

Ive never understood why blue badge holders can park on double yellows. Are blue badge holders somehow less dangerous than the non blue badge holders on double yellows? A car is a car!

Ł500 I might start these then, any orders ?
They don't put the reg number on as the holder can use it for any car she/he is a passenger in if she/he gets out, so number would be pointless, that is why they have a photo, and why it is now a offence not to show it when asked by plod or traffic warden.

if you work out the price of parking in the city is 50 quid a day !!! you can drive to work and use this nad not pay for parking

the abuse of the badge by the REAL owners is just as bad tbh but ignored all the time as they feel they have the right to abuse there badge

the ammount of people who abuse the blue badge is unreal

i'd just stick a ticket on everything and then let the badge holder write in to explain why it was being used

got to get harsh with everyone to stop them taking the piss, anyone who abuses it gets the privilege removed

simple

We have a blue badge for our son who's mentally disabled, and the number of times we get back to the car with our son, to find some idiot has left a note saying that they saw we where not disabled and should not be abusing the blue badge!!

FFS, you dont have to be physically disabled to have a blue badge!!

The tossers never come over and ask face to face.

You're not alone I get it too, especially from old people, who think you must be old to be disabled, they look over sneakily at the piccie on the badge as well.

You are not alone. I have a badge and I am attacked at least 1 in every 5 times I use it. Guaranteed. I am 22 mind, and I don't look like I should have one. I've even had the Police drive up, put the window down and shout 'Get it moved!' When I tried to explain myself I got 'Shift it, or we'll shift it'.

I also remember an old lady asking me whilst I was sat reading the Nuts magazine 'Are you accompanying a Disabled person?' I said 'I came with my Mum, she's not Disabled' to which she flew off the handle and told me to move before she called the Police.

My Family always say I should explain myself, but I don't see why I should! Winding up the ignorant passes the time.

First of all, you wan't to be very careful with those. You have enough of them! From the picture they look a little lighter blue than the original, but that could be the flash? The fact that they all have the same name on, I guess that's not a problem though. I feel sorry for Deborah Allen - Whoever she is! They look geniune enough.

Don't sell them in Liverpool - I can never get a bay as it is.

i don't have a problem with non disabled people using the badge for doing errands etc, but it's when peole think they can just park anywhere that pisses me off, like when they park in the parent/child bays at the supermarket

if they are parked illegally they should still get ticketed and then write in to get the ticket cancelled, simple eh

When i was doing multi drop, always used to have problems with blue badge holders parking in loading bays, just used to block them in, they'd go up the wall if i parked in a blue badge space to do a drop tho.
In Newmarket, one of the loading bays was opposite double yellows, guaranteed on market day the blue badge brigade would park on the double yellows, then i used to get grief for using the loading bay, and it was always the blue badge lot moaning that other traffic couldn't get thru, imo it was them that was parked illegally and causing the obstruction.

you may remembr me posting about getting blocked in a car park by a blue badge holder and then being told that security couldn't move it

20 angry drivers may or may not have persuaded secirity to move it, either by explaining that there was no badge in the window now that some scrote had broken the window and removed it or by other means of remonstration
