1999 Focus TDCi. CV Gaitor kits for the geabox ends of the shafts (I think both sides are the same). FINIS code please!!

My Ford dealer reckons they are around £30 per side and I can't fucking believe that. He MUST be looking at the wrong thing, surely?

 

the inner one for a mk3 mondeo is about that from ford m8 so I guess so..

they come as kits, boot, grease & metal clips, from ford there normally around £20-30. if your not that bothered about the car, get a pattern set from the motor factors.

It looks to me like the FINIS for the inner boot is 1117220, but I will have a look in the morning when I can concentrate more.

Christian speak to Dave Mac he should be able to source you these if not have them on the shelf..

He has ST170 C.V joints on the shelf incl boots wheras no parts shops around my way even list them. + Ford only sell them as a complete bloody driveshaft assembly at £300.
He may be worth a call for the part your after.
