just been up to my s2 to get her ready for the summer but my water pump has failed not a big problem but as i got the car in the air i noticed that the seal? behind my bottem pulley looks perished/split.is it replacebale on its own is it a outboard seal or sumthing?is it just a case of unbolt pulley fit seal refit pulley???

u meaning the crankshaft oil seal? easy enough to do, renew the cambelt at the same time, haynes manual will show you the wayt

 

thats what i was thinking but assumed that oil would be leaking so wasnt sure as the water is leaking from the pump runing down on top of the split seal and driping of it.
there is no oil/water contamination?
