Talking Non Ford , but still cool :-D

Hi all,

hope you like the renault gt turbo. We where all day busy cleaning it but it came out pretty well.
The specs for this R5 gt turbo blue sport are:
- MB shortshifter
- MB injection system
- clio 16v chipped computers
- in car bleedvalve ( 1,5 bar )
- some GAZ dempers
- PU rubbers
- stainless steel exhaust (scorpion)

About an 180 BHP at the moment

Still more to come ... :-D

Cheers from Holland!!

Any info on the fuel injection system? Looks like it could be throttle-body injection (TBI) to retain the original manifolds etc?

Hey Roy,

the tuning parts are from Linne "MB Carperformance"

The car itself is from Kerkrade

Hey about the fuel injection. All the info on the fuel injection can be found back on www.mbcarperformance.nl
He invented it to replace the carburettor. To make it work you need a computer of a 16 v renault. It are only 2 injectors but still it works real good.

Interested

cheers Paul

Hey Marco,

indeed Maurice knows which stuff is good to tune the R5. For this R5 a lot of things are still in the planning.
First thing we need to do is fit the cage in this dinky toy.

cheers

Paul

In the engine bay pic it looks like your running the standard intercooler? If your running 180 through the standard IC I'd recommend strapping it at least!

Hi there,

indeed the big intercooler is on it's way. It will be evo lookalike front mounted.
It's realy needed espacially when the BIG turbo is also on it's way.

cheers

Always fancied one of these but just keep hearing stories about them which have put me off.

All cars have their common faults I suppose so in reality probably no worse than anything else! Lol!

Ow nooooo

I see those French-pocketracers everyday since I've bought a house in "Linne" (about 3min. From MB Carperformance)

Not my cup of tea, but If you're happy with it, then it's OK!

But...they can be really quick! There's also a white R5 Express who's pretty fast. I've tried to follow him with my Mondeo
