Default 4 x 1000cc or 8 x 480cc injectors Which would work best?

I am looking to either fit 4 x 1000cc or 8 x 480cc injectors to my project.

Been told the 8 setup will give better spray / mixture with the air for a better burn = more horsepower.

What would be the advantages or using 4 x 1000cc injectors I can only see a downside at the moment? (reduced air mixing, Full ECU reprogram)

I'm using MBE so management is not an issue.

The reason for this is plain and simple reliability, With 8 inj if/when one stops working mixture goes lean and then bang good bye piston lol, with a 4 inj setup when/if 1 stops working and then you'll run on 3 cylinders. pure reliabilty, less complication, less to go wrong

I talked to Simon , as Simon of SECS and he told me he runs japanees injectors, 100Ł each and a big T34 , runs 450HP!
He has done his own map ..... sounds like he knew what was good and what not.

it's alot cheeaper to go 4 injectors, they are 100Ł each but you don't have to buy an 8 injector hardware.

Cheers Kennert

Kennert, Simon has practical experience of what happens if one half of the 8-injector setup stops... so I'm sure that has a bearing on why he now uses 4
His ECU will be more than capable of running 4 large injectors with suitable accuracy to work correctly.

It sounds like Simon is the guy to talk to about big horsepower on 4 injector setup
