Question Few questions for RS Boffins

Hi everyone and thankyou for taking the time to look at my thread I'll be soon purchasing an RS Turbo with the view to building my own engine. But before a draw up a shopping list, im after some info on what the following items can cope with power wise and whether the CVH engine responds well to certain Modifications

Right then, a few questions:

1. What BHP will the standard crank cope with safely?
2. What options are there on the Clutch front to handle decent power levels
3. Is a big valve head, gas flowed worth while?

Cheers for the advice in advance

1. 300BHP+ (datapost car only had a std crank)
2. There are many available, AP tend to be the best
3. Yes on a car running std management (MFI) not really necessary on cars running alternative management.
The CVH is a cracking engine providing its built correctly and looked after.

As above really..
Crank is good for 300bhp.
Rods are good for about 230bhp (have heard of people running more, but have also heard of them letting go at around 220bhp so up to you).
Clutch AP or Helix are the popular choice.
Big valve head is only needed over 240bhp not a restriction until that point.
