a standard cam would make it run less lumpy normally, is it lumpy on tick over?

with a spec like that i would want it professionaly set up, has that been done?

might have just been on a RR for a power run, not necessarily for a proper mapping setup.

what the bloke is telling you about the cam doesnt sound right to me. fast road cams equals lumpy idle, standard cam equals smooth idle.

Totally pointless without a decent cam, as it already has a big valve head.
It will depend a lot on what management you have, ie how adjustable it is just to start with.
It will then need a complete mapping session, so price in a cam and anywhere between £300 - £500, approx for complete mapping, assuming all else is ok as well.
So if the right price you could take the plunge, but vital to know what managment it is first, as this aint cheap.
