thats not why i asked if it was running mfi it was not a put down

the mfi erst throttle body has i different shape mounting face so you would need to change weld and tap a new hole as the erst tps works the opposite way to the efi one then the injector setup is completely different then its just the vacum and sensor side of things, seem's alot of work tbh

Here you go mate!

RSi inlet & rocker cover running MFI.

Use the RST injector rail bit between the inlet and the head as theres the thermo sensor you will need. Also need a new fuel line to the cold start valve as thats in a different place and the XR one wont fit.

Throttle body just bolted on with no problems but you will need to change where the throttle cable clips onto from the XR throttle body to the RS one as they pull in the opposite direction.

Theres probably a few other bits but its straight forward when you look at it!

There are many differrent options.

1. Use a MFI inlet and make the RST throttle body fit the inlet
2. Use a RS1600i inlet, the RST throttle body fits fine without any mods
3. Use a MFI inlet and a KE-Jet N/A throttle body. Really rare for you boys, iirc this engine wasn't sold in the UK, it's a 1.6 CVH, 8,5:1, 90 hp cat engine with KE-Jetronic. But I've seen a Ford adaptor plate in a thread here a long time ago, made the RST throttle body fit the triangular shape of the MFI inlet manifold...

Belonged to a friend of mine. Used to ran on WM management, later on VW Digifant. But the setup with the RSi inlet and the turbo throttle is just how you want do do this!?

RSandy thanks for the link budd that inlet setup is now mine.

kev i know it sounded silly but i had seen one before and thought it looked much better and just give the engine bay that different look.

just so you know i dont have an rsturbo escort either lol this will be in my xr2 turbo track car.

Anyone know if a cossie TB would be a straightforward fit onto an MFi XR3i Inlet?

XR3i had a 3 stud bolt pattern. But XR3i MK3 had an adaptor plate because they used the RSi/RST type throttle body. So you can make both fit. XR3i might be easier because of the brake fluid reservoir on RHD vehicles
