I used to be into non-Sky sat, I had a 1.2M dish motorised and used to love D2-MAC, Canal Plus was ace! Montray decoder the works but aint used it for ages since everything went digital. I used to have wicked fun finding all the feeds for footie etc!

Is it worth getting back into?

Yup! Well you used to be able to, not sure as aint touched sat for years. I am sure you still can if you know where to look.

I never used to pay for any Sky or anything and I used to watch everything for free using cards that were "home-made"! Programable chips on the card with a key pad that was updateable as they caught on to the codes! Or you could find the feeds that Sky use from say a football ground to their HQ, you could actually see the footage before Sky did! Or D2-MAC which was Digital format long before Sky got on the bandwagon and the picture quality was awesome! Canal Plus was a film channel that put films out in digital before Sky had the rights to it on analogue. The card you got was a hack to get this channel and others for free.
