Thumbs down Would you prefer some one to be supportive or Honest ?

As title says really, Let say hypothetically you are thinking about doing something, would you want your friends, relatives or who ever it is, to be supportive meaning they would tell you thinks like "go for it" even if they don't mean it, or be honest and tell you "That's the stupidest idea ever".

It could be about anything... I'm asking this cuase a lot of the time people tell me that i tend to not be supportive and tell things how they are.

So what's your way ?

Honest and supportive, always best to get an honest opinion, but in the end you have to be determined to do somthing yourself regardless of what people think!

Hi rude dog! It's just a saying! It means you tell it like it is!

Same as if someone asks a fucking obvious Q like...is that a football, when its clearly a fucking football i'd say....if it looks like a duck, and quacks like a fucking duck then what is it? a fucking duck!

I'm the same. My ex used to moan that I never understood her, and maybe she had a point but my argument always was if you have a problem you want solving then come and talk to me, but if you want to be molly coddled and wrapped in cotton wool - go and see your girlfriends. I'm more of the 'practical' type !

Tell people the truth everytime . If i think theyre being a dumb fuck , i tell them there being a dumb fuck !! in my experience people only ever ask your opinion of something if they have doubts and if the doubts are genuine or blatently obvious then they need to be told .
On the other hand , when the missus asks "does this dress make my arse look big?" its better to pretend you havent heard the question and slope off before you let slip that its her fucking gargantuan arse that makes her arse look big !.

Well id be honest and tell them what i think. I always say what i think. I dont understand why and how anyone can not be like that really! Then if they decide to go ahead with whatever it is, id be supportive, but id still let them know exactly what i think about it every now and then.
