looking for a relaxing week on the beach, somewhere not commercial etc, and from what i've seen gambia looks good value and a nice place.

a friend went out there once for a holiday, came back, and within the year he had bought a bar over there, sold up here and retired out there. apparently its dirt cheap and a standard gov. pension will have you living like a king out there! but thats by the by.

either way i think it gives you a good idea if its good or not!

 

Wife's aunty and uncle went out there with his job and both got deported for not having the right visas and paperwork.

or not paying the right officials maybe...

 

I went there a few years ago on a fishing holiday,beaches are very nice, eating out is so cheap its unreal! most of the place is a bit of a shit hole tbh,you get constant harrasment from locals tring to sell you something and wanting to be your freind
went out of the tourist area,found a rasta bar in the middle of noware, i dont think thye liked the idea of us walking in,was not freindly at all even tho they were all smoking massive joints lol
