Last time a company I worked for started paying by me cheque, they went bust a few months later.

Fingers crossed for you. Be careful too if the cheque hasn't cleared in your bank before Direct Debits start coming out. That can be an expensive balls up.

Sounds like a ball ache to me. Plus waiting for the cheque to clear...

Not good. How much does it cost them per bacs payment? Cos business cheques are chargable by the banks as well...?

I agree, make sure they give you the cheque a few days before you would normally have been paid so it has time to clear!

were you informed that this was going to be the case though? and will they pay for your time to go and queue up at the bank to pay it in?
