nah they for outside use as well (i think) they come with a normal charger for the internal rechargable battery in the UFO and also the charger takes 8 AA batteries so u can charge when out and about

PMSL i got one of these too. They excellent fun, i was using mine in doors and managed to get it to hover 1" from the celing until it wobbled, fell and chopped one of the house plans in half with the blade underneath

 

Got one last christmas and after a few beers had a right laugh.
