Default Revcounter questions

Ok mine is 1996 small turbo,an from what i can read there is suppose to be a small mod to the revcount due to org coilpack? Mine is coverted into a bt whit loom from ryan etc.The previous owner who fitted the bt stuff didnt do anything to the revcounter and it worked whit no problem??i have fitted a msd 6a box to my msd coil now and should as i have been told but a cable over a resistor on the back of the revcounter to get it to work whit the msd 6a.But how can i know what revcounter i have? I havent tried if it works whit the msd 6 yet but it shouldnt do it.Any ideas

Hi lars.
It´s correct you have to modify the above.
What you do is take the gauge out, look at the back, there is 3-legs, and the lower one, you can se a resistor on the plastic plate in brown, you have to shortcircute it, take a wire and solder it to the back where the legs come out.
job done
If in doubt, follow the green wire from the plug on back off the dash bord, to the gauge, it will show you what "leg" to use
