Default MFI and Boost

I have just bought a new ported and polished head for my s2. It has come with a newman cam and solid lifters not sure if it has bigger valves or any other work but is all going to be fit to the car this week. The car also has Pro Alloy Front mounted intercooler, chip, exhaust and filter. Im going to take it to a tuner to have it setup and want it running somewhere around 18psi. Is this a bit much for MFI and a standard T3 turbo

Thanks

Yes.. the ported head (if it's any good) will mean you don't need as much boost to make the power.. don't worry about how much boost you run, worry about how much power it makes! The two are not directly related!

You'll just have to see what it does on the day mate, what boost your standard T3 will hold depends on how well your engine flows (it's Volumetric Efficiency), if you've a modified head then you will flow better and the boost you can hold will be lower than if it was a un-modded head.
This does not mean you will make less BHP it just means it's easier for the gasses to get in and out of your engine and so backpressure/resistance (boost) will be less

you will be seeing the 200 mark with 18 and that set up mate. the ke if in good con will fuel it at that.

my car used to run same set up and ran 220bhp but with 23psi
