Mine was doing this before. Was pretty sure it was the engine temp sender fooked and telling the ecu it was -30 and so to gush the fuel through to compensate. Its round the back of the inlet manifold. I THINK the sendor is exactly the same as the fan sendor so you might be able to swap em round to check.
I didn't get this far with sorting mine out (long story) to say for 100% this was the cause but was pretty convinced and worth a go anyway. Sendors are at fords still about Ł20. Got mine a week or so ago.

Just finished installing the management this morning, fired up first time but sounds like it's missing, the management was off a running car so can't see that lot being a problem, and the monitor is showing sensors reading as they should. Fuel's there, you have to hold the revs for it to idle! Pulled each lead out 1 by one and the running gets worse so that's the ignition side ok, not tried a different set of plugs yet because 1, i don't have a set to hand
and 2, cos the miss is that bad, you'd expect the end of the plug to be missing!! I have taken them out, cleaned and heated them though!
Every now and again it pops and there's a big air rush back from the charge carrier ( no top intercooler pipe fitted! )
Was thinking of checking the followers next, see if they have emptied themselves ( the engine's not really done much work for 8 months! )

and it should run fine, failing that your running lean
Don't think it's running lean, the management stuff was bought by Cressy and came from a running car so i'm assuming ( the mother of all fuck ups
) it was running ok! AND,
the fault was there before the management change, the problem is, i didn't hear / see how the car was as the mfi stuff had been removed before the car was delivered and Paul ( Cressy ) has not seen / heard the car since the conversion
Gonna try and get a set of plugs tomorrow, Anyone remember what the part no. is of the good cossie plugs for the cvh's?

Cossie Plugs can stand around 350bhp and wont get spark blow out, which is when under alot of power the spark splugs stop firing,
But problem with your managment is that your ECU wont reconise the fack you chagned the managment and then chuck more or less fuel in, as your air mix maybe different compaired to your old Inlet..
not sure on part number,

And incase you are wondering, it's not my first conversion, just struggling as the car had a fault before it was fitted

A change of management includes the ecu mate, thats the whole point of the conversion, the fuel is managed by the ecu and controls the fuel dependant on the info from the air temp, coolant temp and map sensor ( which are reading correctly! )

All running for those interested, when supplied the conversion was all there bar a crank trigger set up. ( only the 1800cvh crank sensor was there, no pulley or trigger ring etc ) so we used one of my discs and brackets with the cossie crank sensor, i had forgotten to swap pins 3 & 4 ( crank sensor ) in the ecu plug back round again!
Funny thing was, it suddenly dawned on me last night when i was having a shave
