right i need some help my computer is fucked agen so iv got my hands on a windows xp disc and in need to install it my mate has gone to get his exsternal hard drive to put all my photos on it . so wot i need to no is how to do it . iv all so got the disc for my internet is there any fing to look out for or should do first ?????

 

All you need to do, once you've backed up all your personal stuff is to make sure you have all your drivers for sound/graphics card etc, internet if you run a broadband modem, if you have a router you shouldnt need any installation discs anyway.

Then just put the cd in the drive and restart the pc, then the cd should boot up and simply follow the onscreen instructions and make a brew while it installs and updates.
It will take a good hour or so depending on your pc speed, and getting all the windows updates.


P.s if you put the cd in the drive and it boots into windows normally then let us know and ill tell you what to do
