Default Not getting any fuel

Oright, i have just put a new head gasket on my s2 escort turbo and put it all back together and when i went to start it, it just cranked over for a while and didnt even try to start, so checked if it was getting fuel and i have fuel coming through the filter and then for some reason it isnt coming through the metering head, i loosend the cold start bolt and fuel sprayed out fine but when i loosed the injector bolts that bolt into the metering head i dont seem to be getting any fuel coming through. The sensor is plugged into the metering head, im getting a fuel pump buzz , i have a quarter of a tank of fuel in ther car but i stil dont seem to be getting any fuel coming through. I also took the injector pipes completly of of when i did the head gasket but i put them all back on ok with the washers and everything, this wouldnt cause any problems would it.
anybody know what it could be.

Press and hold the flap down in the metering unit and crank it over, does any fuel come from the main injectors then?
