Default XR3i parts on an ERST?

What i'm wanting to know is if the XR3i engine has the same flywheel and CVH block as the RST. Obviously the Pistons are different, what about the crank?

I know the heads are different but i have the right head already, just looking to get the flywheel, and bottom end ready.

cheers

you could weld it into the sump if your handy though, but for the expense and hassle it might just be easier to get an rs block.

crank is different
the oil return is only a drilled hole in the block,a tight tolerance for the press fit of the oil return

I've heard that the crank is the same on every version of the CVH.

Rods should be the same on the non turbo. Flywheel is slightly smaller as the RST takes a bigger 220mm clutch. XR has the smaller one same as the S1 RST

Head is also the same. Various different versions of CVH head, but apart from the S1 getting sodium valves there was never anything beter specifically given to an RS model.
