Default fao people with gt30/5 turbos with manfold spacer plate and damper!

ive got a reyland spacer between the 2wd manifold on my cossie but i have a bailey damper but now i cant get the damper on the turbo now as the turbo sits too high just!!! i have adjusted the damper as much as i can (shortest) but im about 5mm out.

only way i can do it is get a 5 mill spacer that go under the damper on the rocker cover bolts but i will need 5 mm longer bolts then.

i think you need to adjust the turbo fitting. the front and center housings can be adjusted to the required position by slackening the bolts, and rotating the housing.
bit early on a sunday for me to try and explain lol

check that the inner leg on the damper is fully located in the rocker cover recess,if it is,
file some metal off the bottom of the inner leg on the turbo hanger. this will make it pivot on the legs nearest to the turbo, and lift the other end of the damper.
dont file too much,as it may make it a difficult angle to get the bolts in.
also add 1mm washes under the legs nearest the turbo, due to a pivot effect, that will move the hanger end 2mm higher.
sorry if this is confusing but it is a sunday morning.
also note the hanger is a rose type joint,so it is ok to run at a slight angle.

you could also ,seperate the hanger, and cut 5mm off the connecting bolt, allowing it to screw in more.
or a combination of everything suggested untill it works lol

Stu I reckon you have a different (taller) exhaust housing on that turbo.
