Selling collectors items ADVICE NEEDED
Hi,
If I wanted to sell rare collectors items (mostly sports stuff, signed one offs or limited run stuff, but also stuff like film clothing worn by stars, sections from Elvis's trousers etc)
I wont go into any other deatils for forum rules reason.
Where would be best to do this (sell it) but also where to get a decent valuation - we know what alot of it is worth, but not all
It is my misses old man, been collecting for years, but decided it is a waste to have it sitting there when he could have cash.
I know there is ebay but dont really use/trust it - to many scammers, does anyone know of any specialst auctions, or if they are better to go to a collectors who buys?
any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks
Matt

What i have done with my rare skateboards and 1/18 models was list them on eBay at 99p with no reserve. Mad as it sounds but people cannot resist a bargain and its gets the bidding going and the way i see things is they will always find there own true Value
My rarest skateboard, Jay adams Z-Flex went for Ł1000 and my auto art wrc Focus (Mcrae,Grist) went for Ł250 and both of them were started at 99p
Regards

Good stuff, where do you buy them from, ebay or auction stuffs etc?
i dont buy anything from ebay, dont trust its genuine, i buy things when elvis presley enterprises or private collectors, or his old staff put items up for auction. if i have enough money at the time
i am quite an expert anyway on everything elvis, so most of the time know if something is genuine or not, but like i said i never trust eBay for these things.

been dealing in Sex Pistols memorabilia for years, had a natter with mark lamah (sp?) at a christies auction once, always thought he looked about 6ft 4 on tv but hes about 5ft 7!
he bought an elvis 45 that was signed on the company bag by his backing singers, he buys all sorts inc. Pistols stuff. Joanthun Woss is a Pistols collector as well.
yep fully agree with you on that, i dont go for the personal belongings side of things but ive
