oh and i have 8 of them aswell
Cheers Rick, yeh would be a shame to have broken it, i am surprised that no-one else happened to notice the intercooler
its not everyday you see the 4x4 intercooler in a S1 that sits behind the grill
Or is it because it hasnt got GRS written on it LOL

Scot, a couple of things.... 1 - the i/c... 2 or 4WD? How easy/hard to fit, and do you see any benefits (for the money) over the GRS i/c's? 2 - Gen RS200 alloys? Niiiiiiiiice
3 - Can you get me a pic of that triple guage holder in place of the centre speaker please? I want summat like that for mine
Must say she is looking super-fucking-fine mate - as said it is nice to see a modified S1 looking so classy

Cheers for the comments guys, its good to know that others share my passion for the car
The intercooler is a 4x4 cooler, the ends have been modified to get them past the front panel, the rad i had made special, the core is approx 3" to 4" thick, the length is still the same as is the mounting points, it still retains the original bottom mounts. its basically just a shorter version, the extra depth is to replace the top half of the rad.
if you look at the following pics you can see that the cooler sits nice behind the grill, with plenty of room to spare.

Before this turns into another debate about high water temps using a GRS unit
IMO at the mo for the S2 the GRS is possibly one of the better intercoolers available "off the shelf", for the S1 i think we are still waiting for a good unit to come onto the market, which is why i looked into doing something different( before the spray-job the cooler sat in place of the front bumper
), now i have got one nearly done, ( still have a few more tweaks to do to it), i am going to look into possibly offering the set-up for general sale.
On the rollers, when the cooler was in its old position it ran VERY low temps, and at national day 02 on the track it never read over 30degrees all day

Now that is so coool!!! Anymore details on the 4x4 incooler would be good, that looks very trick. Did you have to make some brackets up? And did it fit in ok without having to hack the shell about? Very nice car there, well done. I want one like that one day.
