Default Update Urgent valve help?

im changing my vavle stem seals 2day and ive put the valve spring tool on my car but i cant get the collet of the end of the valve any ideas? its urgent please wana do this 2day if i can its on a cvh engine btw

I usually begin to wind the tool down, to place the spring under tension, then get a big socket that will sit on the retainer and give it a brisk 'tap'. This will free everything up, then when you wind the tool down further, you should be able to pull the valve back up (closed). Wind the tool down just far enough to be able to pull the collets off with a pair of long nosed pliers, or better still, one of those little telescopic magnets. Don't wind it down further than you need to though, you risk pulling the valve into the head.

as above,you can get pistons 1&4 at tdc change the stem seals on these valves then do the same on 2&3 this would stop any risk of losing the valve lol!

well that worked but ive now snapped the bolt that the rocker arm sits on any idea how you get these out and what bolt i would need 2 replace it?
